Of Eye bags and Headaches

Of Eye bags and Headaches

Last night was epic! And believe me when I say epic. I don’t think I can experience too many emotions all at once.

HELLO BABY!

Later in the evening, my sister texted me that she is now becoming a mommy! It was good news for all of us. She was married for quite sometime now and she badly wanted a baby and I’m so glad that her prayers are finally answered! I am beyond excited because that cute little thing just happened to be my first pamangkin!(niece/nephew) I can’t wait for December to come. :3

THE NOTEBOOK

It was my first time to watch the film The Notebook which is based from Nicholas Sparks’ best-seller novel. I fell in love with it honestly. I laugh and ache together with the characters especially Noah Calhoun. His love for Allie just gave me chills and make me want to be loved by someone like him too. By the way, Ryan Gosling who played the role of Noah is now my official celebrity crush. YES. I like him very much, it made me watch clips from the movie over and over again. As well as look at his photos in the internet. Did I also say that I knew that he was born on November 12, 1980? Or that he was involved with Sarah Bullock, Rachel McAdams (yes, the one who played Allie) and Eva Mendez? Haha. Okay I am an OFFICIAL FANGIRL.

After the tears we shed for The Notebook, we still managed to watch A Walk to Remember which just happens to be based on Nicholas Sparks’ novel too and one of my favorite movies of all time. We cried a lot, too. Now my eyes are drooping heavily and my eye bags wanted to scream for sleep. My head is aching too.

CONFRONTATIONS

Yesterday, was truly a day of tears for me. I had this confrontation with someone because I can’t take it all inside anymore. I feel like I really need to let it all out or else I’ll explode. This matter got me crying and sleepless for nights and right now, I’m just glad the stress and pressure is over.

MISSING IN ACTION

Oh boy, oh boy. I’m missing someone. Badly. No calls or even texts? I can go crazy because of you, ya know that? It seems like you don’t even care. I don’t want to be clingy but I’m scared. I’ve read from The Notebook the line “That’s the scary thing about distance. You’ll never know if they’ll miss you or forget you.”

MY EMOTIONS ARE ALL MESSED UP.

♪♫ We’re happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time. It’s miserable and magical…♪♫♫

Inspired

Inspired

I never knew it would come all of a sudden.

I would really like to say that this is one of my fastest answered prayers. Thank you Jehovah! These past few days I have been so troubled by a problem (I can’t say it here) that I can’t even go to sleep peacefully. The only time I can sleep was when I got tired of crying. I prayed for help and comfort so that I can somehow have my mind at peace.

And all of a sudden, you happened. Yes, you. Now I feel so inspired that even if my problem is still here, I can manage to smile and work. You make me laugh and cry at the same time. You give me shivers just by uttering a word and winking your eyes. And I want to thank you for that. I wanted to tell you that you’re a great help in my time of distress.

You are one of the reasons that I am INSPIRED. 🙂

ABCs

ABCs

“To learn to read is to light a fire; every syllable that is spelled out is a spark.”- Victor Hugo
I can remember the time when my parents told me that at the age of three, I already mastered my alphabet and I was starting to read. Reading has become a very important part of my life for I have grown up to be a reader. I find reading very entertaining even from grocery lists up to really, really long novels. Because of this, I would like to share a recent experience I had.
One Thursday morning, as I was waiting for someone on a waiting shade I saw this man approaching a young gentleman near me. The man was a little skinny, quite short, bald and he looks like he’s on his middle forties. What happened next broke my little thumping heart. Here’s a photo of him I secretly took by the way.

He approached the young man beside me and said, “Puwede mo ba akong ipara ng jeep San Pablo. Hindi kasi ako marunong magbasa. Pasensya na ha, hindi lang talaga ako marunong bumasa.”
That moment I can’t help but feel sorry for him. That was my very first encounter with someone who is illiterate.  And I don’t know if this is nonsense for you but it’s a big deal for me. I wanted to ask the man why he never learned how to read? Why did he gave up so easily and didn’t even try? I can’t help but stare at the man for a while and to my shock he suddenly asked me for the time. I tried to hide all that’s been boiling inside me and I answered him politely with a smile.
I felt the sudden urge to help people learn how to read. I mean reading is an important tool for survival. It gives you joy and knowledge that you will always have for the rest of your life. I don’t want to sound noble or anything but I would like everyone to know this important matter.
More and more people have been stolen the opportunity to learn how to read. Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone knows how to read books like the bible, if everyone knows how to read and write the name of their loved ones, if everyone can read and spell their name out loud for the rest of the world to hear, and most importantly if everyone can know and teach the next generation the name of our God because they can read?
Learn, read, teach. :>

Here Comes The Sun

Here Comes The Sun

First official out-of-town trip for summer 2013. 🙂

Yay! Finally, nakaya naming mga youths ang mag-organize ng trip on our own. But of course, with our parents/elders permission. Caliraya, here we go!

Actually, I’m one of the busy-busyhan persons in-charge kaya 5am pa lang e gising na ako. We went to the market to buy some stuff for the trip and after that we have to prepare our own things to bring. Well, ang kaayusan talaga ay BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch). Kaya yun, salted eggs na yung dala namin. Haha. Sorry nemen, mahirap magluto. I think mga 9am na kami nakaalis ng Pila tapos dumating kami sa Japanese Garden ng mga 10am.

Here are some of our photos there:

Around 11 am, we had our lunch. Woo! Sitting on the grass while eating is one of the best things in life. Haaaay, if only I can do this everyday. BTW, magkakamag-anak yung mga ulam namin. Puro fried tilapia, adobong manok, salted eggs and tocino. Haha. Only Mara and Coleen ang naka-afford pa na magdala ng lumpiang shanghai. Yum, yum, yum!
